Mobiforge vs FlutterFlow
Two different philosophies for building mobile apps without traditional coding. FlutterFlow gives you a visual canvas. Mobiforge gives you an AI that writes real code from your description.
| Feature | Mobiforge | FlutterFlow |
|---|---|---|
| Approach | AI code generation from text | Visual drag-and-drop editor |
| Framework | React Native (Expo) | Flutter (Dart) |
| AI Features | Full AI generation + editing | AI assist (limited) |
| Code Output | Real React Native source code | Flutter code (exportable on paid plans) |
| iOS Builds | Automated IPA + code signing | Manual Xcode or FlutterFlow cloud |
| Android Builds | Automated APK/AAB | APK download or cloud build |
| Store Submission | One-click automated | Manual upload required |
| OTA Updates | Built-in (Expo Updates) | Not available |
| Backend | Supabase (integrated) | Firebase, Supabase (manual setup) |
| Version Control | Git-backed with rollback | Built-in versioning |
| Learning Curve | Low — describe in English | Medium — must learn the visual editor |
| Free Plan | 1 app, 100 AI credits/mo | 2 projects, limited features |
| Paid Plans | From $39/mo | From $30/mo |
| Code Ownership | Full — GitHub repo | Export on Pro+ plans only |
Key Differences
The fundamental difference is input method. FlutterFlow requires you to visually construct your app — selecting components, configuring properties, wiring data sources. Mobiforge lets you describe what you want in plain English, and AI generates the entire application.
FlutterFlow produces Flutter/Dart code. Mobiforge produces React Native code. Both are cross-platform, but React Native has a larger ecosystem and LLMs generate more reliable JavaScript than Dart.
When to Choose FlutterFlow
- You prefer visual, WYSIWYG design with precise control over layout
- You already know Flutter or want to learn it
- You need custom animations or complex visual designs
When to Choose Mobiforge
- You want the fastest path from idea to published app
- You need automated store submission (no manual Xcode/Gradle)
- You want OTA updates without going through app store review
- You prefer describing changes in English over navigating a visual editor
- Full code ownership from day one matters to you
